I have been starving for safe friendships to share emotional feelings and physical touch. Parents, academic friends, church friends and family all have boundaries safe for them but feel very cold to me. Past devoted lovers truly provided that safe harbor of feelings and physical touch. But living alone for 8 years now and casual dating has not. If you want to meet me for coffee so we can get to know each other, there will be a subtext going on in my head: "Do you like to hug? Do you want to touch me? I can not duplicate the intense feelings of your touch for myself.” I guess that having such a high libido is not common at 75, judging from my conversation with friends. I know I have to tone down my intensity.



A few years back, I subscribed to Netflix and selected 200 gay-themed videos. Ten of them made me cry close to their end. I bought these: “Maurice”, “Making Love” with Kate Jackson, “Dona Herlinda and her son”, “Trick”, “Big Eden” and also the straight film “Saving Grace” among others.



There is a gay bar 2 blocks from my house and I never go there. Twenty-eight years ago I stopped drinking and the place does not seem safe for me as a friend of Bill.



I am a retired computer software developer so I spend most of my time getting up to speed in the new web technologies.



I am also an activist for gay inclusiveness in my very homophobic orthodox christian church but making little headway.
