I have a rather high profile public past and have shunned that lifestyle in recent years in order to be ready for a long term relationship to which I can be truly devoted. I call myself a survivor due to the fact that despite the many travails of my past, I remain a citizen of the earth and believe in my heart that I am here for a few reasons, one of those is that I am quite sure that there is a man out there who is looking tonight at the same moon that I am and dreaming of me as I am of him...clearly, I am a romantic and believe that I have much to offer to the right man, whom I hope I will know when he crosses my path and our journeys converge. I believe I will know him when he does...I long to be a part of a his life and give to him all that I have to give as I grow more with each passing day.

I am looking for a man who considers his inner life to be of great import - who understands that we never stop growing until the day we die...I believe that although we can never undo our past, we have within ourselves the ability to create a happy ending and I'm looking for a man to whom that makes sense and who wants to do that with me.

I am drawn to Eastern philosophy and practice. For example - I meditate daily, which I find both extremly healing and energizing. The man I am searching for needn't be on the exact path that I am, of course, but I would say that a certain quality of spirituality is essential in my mate.

Because I believe I have cultivated qualities of empathy and compassion, I am looking for the same in a man. My two (and only) relationships were long term - over eight years each. So, dating is kind of new for me and this - a matching service - is definitely new for me. I've never done this before. So, I guess, I'm looking for a man who will be patient with that as well.

As I read this, I realize it reads quite seriously. The truth is that I have a great sense of humor and seek the same in a man. I truly believe that if we can't laugh at ourselves, we would be so miserable as to make life unbearable.

I guess I could go into more specifics about my personality, my past, and what I am seeking, but I'm going to choose to leave it at what I've written here. The man I am searching for will already have a good sense of me having read this and will know if this is a potentially good fit.
