I’ve recently relocated to Albuquerque from the San Francisco Bay Area, and am interested in making some new friends. I would also love to find an affectionate, considerate, warm-hearted guy to share laughter as well as physical intimacy. Dating is a great way to get to know each other better, and to explore the possibility of a deeper relationship, including a life partner.

As for me, I’m a middle-aged guy (56) who is affectionate, intelligent, playful, sensual, and caring. I am a loyal friend, a very creative person, and am progressive in my views. Friends consider me open-minded--someone who cares about the community, as well as the world in which we live. I love native plants, gardening, and growing my own food, dogs, c&w dancing, romantic gestures, hiking, a good book, exploring new places, learning about different cultures, playing chamber music, and singing. Family and friends are important to me, and I’d as soon spend time with them hanging out or sharing a meal than running around “doing” stuff. I enjoy cooking and entertaining.

While I usually sense chemistry from a first meeting, I also know that it gets stronger as two people become more relaxed around each other. And that takes some time, as well as some luck to find someone you feel drawn to.

I don't have one "type," but know some characteristics that appeal to me. I'm often drawn to men who possess a few (or more) of the following traits: like a lot of touch, are naturally masculine and relatively easy-going, have trim goatees or beards, are tall or husky (but also HWP) and attracted to shorter guys (I'm 5'5", 130#), are smooth to only moderately hairy, are out of the closet, have progressive politics, may be creative/artistic, may be involved in the community, are not overly materialistic. I like guys who can get a little wild in the bedroom, don't take themselves too seriously, and have learned to enjoy the simple things in life. “Deal breakers” include guys who smoke or use drugs.
